So this happened yesterday, and to quote El Toro about it:
"And just when you'd thought he'd found rock bottom in abject obscurity"
So naturally, today's song fo the day is:
Guess what day it is?
This year, my goal is to do as much as I can to help others.
While I do help our local soup kitchen and local homeless shelters,
I can do more.
And I want to motivate others to do more to help people less fortunate than themselves.
I encourage you to reach out within your communities and do what you can to help.
Volunteer, Donate, Advocate.
Here in Colorado Springs, the Marian House does good work.
Also the Pikes Peak United Way does a lot to help a wide variety of people.
If you want to help but don't know where to start, check here:

The way I see it, it's our job as human beings to help those in need.
And to stand for those who are unable to stand for themselves.
So, if I had a mission statement this year, On The Turning Away would be it:
"No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?"
Basic Slack is the mastermind behind the
brilliant TRON Legacy remixes a couple years back.
I personally love the music. His remix of Daft Punk's Rinzler and Fall are mind blowing.
Well a little bit ago, Basic Slack put out a full length album of original tunes
that I highly recommend for any fan of electronic music.
Buy it on Amazon or iTunes.
Also, you can download all of Basic Slack's TRON remixes for FREE:

First up, here is a great photo set called LA Odyssey

And since we are on the subject,
here is a "fantastic series of nude women and vegetables" from artist Heidi Voet:

One of the things that has really pissed me off this year is the NSA.
And not so much the illegal/unconstitutional spying they keep doing,
but the lack of outrage from the public on the topic.
For the most part, people take the "I'm not a terrorist, so what's it matter" attitude.
Since 911, the definition of terrorism is fluid and ever changing.
But that's OK, I am sure the Government would never abuse
its power and use all of that information against anyone.
Not unless Uncle Sam deems them to be a threat because they are a "terrorist"....right?
Anyway, The NSA is at it again and this didn't even come from Edward Snowden:
