The NFL Domestic Abuse Scandal

How fucked up it is that so many NFL players beat their wives so much, it has now become a multi-team scandal.
WTF NFL players, who do you think you are, Cops?
I'm not going to rant on this though because there are so many tangled issues here. Instead, I think it best to let another more qualified site untangle some of this for us:

Movie News

Well, it looks like that "leaked" Deadpool test footage worked because 20th Century Fox has given their Ryan Reynolds "attached" Deadpool movie a release date.
I am 100% sick and tired of Deadpool in the comics.
But I think a movie that is like the test footage would be great.
But I'm sure I'll be sick of it too by the time they make the 3rd sequel.
In case you've forgotten that leaked video, here it is again:

I am still really excited about Interstellar.
This new poster looks pretty good. Click it to watch the trailer:

One of the best horror movies I've seen in the past 5 years is The Pact.
Now, of course, there is a sequel.
I am going to try to make time to watch it this weekend.
But I've got to be honest, I've got some pretty low expectations for this.
Watch the Trailer and see what you think:

Comic Book lulz

The Roman turned me onto the comic Invincible a bit ago.
It's a great book by Robert Kirkman with art from Ryan Ottley.
Today, I was listening to my iPod on random when Pat Benatar's "Invincible" comes on and then it hits me. The Ultimate Sketch Cover Idea!
If I can afford it, I'm going to see if Ryan Ottley
will do this as a commission for me at NYCC this year:

I posted a "Variant" on our Facebook Page and Tumblr.

Horror Movie News has posted the Official Poster for VHS Viral which comes out on Video on Demand on October 23, 2014.
I personally am excited as hell because I loved the last 2 VHS movies.

So our friend Mandy "invited" me into a Nicolas Cage comment thread on Facebook yesterday and it was legendary. Here is a gallery of some of the better pics:

Had a great weekend

Op X and I went to the 4th Annual "Comic Art Fest" down at Escape Velocity Comics on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. Hung out with some friends, saw some amazing art, met some new peeps and took a bunch of pictures.
For the Facebook peeps, check out the pics I posted on our FB page.
For the Non Facebook user, here are some of the higlights:

On Sunday, My Browns WON their Home Opener against the New Orleans Saints, 26-24. This is the first time The Browns have won a Home Opener since 2004.
I don't want to get my hopes up too much, because it's The Browns after all, but I have a good feeling about their season. This may be the year we go 8-8!

Plus The Broncos beat the Chiefs and The Roman, Op X, Serby the Oracle and Car-Loss where all there to see it:

In music news, Ministry has released 2 new(ish) albums.

Ministry has released another studio album called

"From Beer To Eternity"

I'm not gonna lie, I think it sucks. I've listened to every track and only two were worth a re-listen: "Perfect Storm" and "The Horror".
I recommend you check it out for your self, but I personally am OK without ever listening to it again.

Next, look what else has shown up.
A new release of previously released material has been released on iTunes.

Cleopatra Records has re-released Ministry's 12 Inch Singles 1981-1984. They've added "New, Never Before Released Material" to it. But really the only song that's on here that has never been officially released is "Same Old Madness".
But if you want to collect all of Ministry's Early Releases in one album,
this is a good way to do it.
Now, if you wanna see Uncle Al sing in a British like accent back in the early days of 80's New Wave Synth Pop, here is the video for "Same Old Madness".
After watching it you'll know why it was previously unreleased:

OK, that was kind of a low blow. To make up for that, here is a newer Ministry Album I highly recommend getting: Last Tangle in Paris:

While it is more or less the same set list as "Enjoy The Quiet"
which was released in 2013 as an audio only,
Last Tangle in Paris is a video of the performances and has more classic Ministry tracks and the production value is higher on this release, so they sound incredible.
If you just want the audio, click this: Audio only
