Today would have been Jeff Hanneman's 50th birthday. To honor him, let it rain blood.

I have been abusing the

Portlandia returns for Season 4 on IFC Thursday February 27th.
In the meantime...IFC has released a scene from Season 4 called
"Tailgating A Prairie Home Companion".
They have also released 4 Webisodes to go with it.
Click this pic to watch the Scene:

Stuff and Things

These Robots Rock.

Normally, I wouldn't give a shit about The Grammy Awards.
But, Daft Punk won a bunch last night. And that makes me happy.
When they accepted their awards, they did so in character,
never taking off their helmets or speaking. I love it.
And while I did not watch it (I found it online after the fact) their performance with
Stevie Wonder was pretty damn incredible. It made me get up and dance:

Here is a pretty funny review of the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Again, normally the amount of fucks I give about the Grammys equals ZERO.
But, I have to admit this live mash-up to end the broadcast was..well...interesting.
NIN+Dave Grohl+Queens of the Stoneage+Lindsey Buckingham
doing NIN's "Copy of A".
While it is my favorite song of the newest album, this mashup, while cool, felt weird.
Regardless, the fuckheads at the Grammy's cut it off early to go to a commercial.
Trent Reznor was pissed about it.
You can watch what was aired here, but YouTube will probably pull it quickly:

Certainly worth the watch.

I have been enjoying the new HBO Series True Detective.
Besides the most talked about nude scene of 2014 from Alexandra Daddario,
the show has a cool premise. A crime investigation of a serial murder from 1995
seen in flashback format from 2012 by the two detectives that worked the case.
It has been a slow burn. The crime investigation itself takes a backseat to the focus on the character development of Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.
But after last night's episode "The Locked Room", it looks like it is picking up.
With 5 episodes left, I am excited to see where this goes.
